Description
Nyerere National Park – formally known as Selous Game Reserve A newly established Park is part of what is known as Selous Game Reserve. Founded in 2019 and covering over 30,000 square kilometers, now the largest National Park in Africa.
The park boasts Tanzania’s largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks, and zebras.
Itinerary
Day 1: Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam
Pick up from the Hotel to Stone Town flight from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam (Time depends it will be around morning)
Get picked up from Dar es Salaam airport to Selous (We will use short cut road via Kisarawe and the driving can take approximately 3.5 – 4.5 hours.
Check-in Lodge at Selous area
Put the bag and have hot lunch and short rest, around earlier evening you will go on a boat safari it will take approximately 2 hours
Going back to the lodge for overnight
Day 2: Full-day game drive
The sunrise game drive/Breakfast will start around 6 Am (Or you will discuss with our guide accordingly the day before) You have full day game drive with a Lunch box and game drive at sunset then back in the Evening to the lodge for overnight
Day 3: Flight to Zanzibar
After breakfast drive to Dar es Salaam and take a flight to Zanzibar in the evening
